Driver seat, no forward or back movement

I have a 2010 Maxima and just recently my drivers seat won't move forward or back but every other position works. My dealership told me to check for loose change in the track, there was none.

I'm 6'4" and have my seat adjusted back as far as it will go. My car is set up so that the steering wheel lifts up and the seat slides back when I exit the car.

I'm thinking the seat may have somehow come off track while trying to back up. I say that because the button still makes a clicking sound when pressed. Anyone else have this happen to them?

The dealer may be right. It happened to my 03 Maxima years ago. You've to look carefully into both tracks, there's maybe a penny got stuck in there. In my case I've to remove the seat to get the Penny out. Good luck

I too am 6'4" and have found on occassion (especially when the short valet or car was folks get in) that I may have too "fiddle" with the seat control with me OUT of the seat to get it to move smoothly again. It may be that with us normal people having the seat all the way back for months at a time, it tends to stick a bit!!!

Might be the motor getting stuck. Happened with my other Max. I would get a screwdriver or simular tool and tap the motor & that would fix the stuck issue.

The results are in, the drivers seat motor and track both need to be replaced. Got the parts installed and now the seat moves real slow and in a jerky motion, the tech said that they lubed it but if it doesn't get better after the grease sets in to bring it back and they would put in another motor and track. I've driven it now for 2 days and I don't think the grease is going to fix the problem. They had my car for 3 days to repair a seat and didn't do it right.

This is exactly the reason I stopped doing business with this Nissan dealer and bought my car an hours drive away, their service sucks.

On top of that when I went to pick my car up I was told they were washing it. I thought cool my baby is gonna be fixed and clean.

When the guy brought my car around it was still wet and the temperature outside was 90+ degrees, and you know what hot temps, a dark colored car and water leads to? Water stains. I calmly got my towels out my trunk and began drying my car where the knucklehead parked it.

I said something to the service manager but he was no help. I can't wait to fill out my customer comment card for this trip.

So any help would be greatly appreciate here. I've been reading all the posts and have some idea but sure wanna make sure I understand this correctly. My driver seat is stuck all the way back, over the bolts so I can't remove the seat itself. It reclines and all that, but it won't move forward, It only moves on the left side, not the right. It's like the right side is stuck and won't move. I tried tapping on the motor, but to be fair I can barely get to it since I can't remove the seat. I looked and don't see anything in the rail. I took it to the dealer here in Portland, OR and the f'ing dude just called and said it was going to be $1,800 for a "lower seat adjuster". Nothing about the motor, nothing about any bushing or grommet, nothing about the rail. They're not sure what the issue is so replacing the entire f'ing thing is the only thing they can do. How can I get to the bolts if the seat stuck all the way back and covering them? Thanks you guys!!
