Interested steering wheel button feature

This morning while driving, I was listening to the FM radio, and was attempting to cycle through my presets with the steering wheel control. Pushing up and down, the station would not change whatsoever.

However, I did hold the button in the down position thinking it would turn the feature back on...but instead the horn honked...WTF? Did I disable the controls somehow without meaning to?

Sorry if this has been covered. I thought it was quite odd.

Strange, if you were on FM and had already pre-set the stations it should have worked. If you pushed down hard enough to make the horn honk then you moved to the next menu like XM or the music box...etc.

I don't own a 7th gen, but aren't all the controls including the airbag on one piece? You may have pushed it down hard enough to activate the horn.

Same thing happened to me when I was stuck in traffic. Kept hearing someone honk and did not stop to think that it could be me. Realized it was after the dude in front of me took it upon himself to flip the bird.

Both buttons on either side do this. Oh well live and learn.

May want to get your horn button sensitivity or the buttons themselves checked out. The horn should not be activated that easily.
For me, I need to give it a really good press, about 5mm of travel before the horn sounds.
