You can drop the bumper, that would definitely be the easiest but if you don't want to do that there's about 10-12 tabs that you have to pull out. Of these there's 2 tabs on the bottom side of the grille that are a PITA to get out. Here's a thread discussing what people did to get them out.

Yes the two middle bottom tabs are the worse. If you want to ensure you don't break any of the tabs, I would just drop the bumper.

I did it without dropping the bumper by using some extra (smaller) screwdrivers as wedges to keep the tabs from re-engaging as you popped them out. No broken tabs but still a bit of a struggle. Pack a ton of patience before starting either method.

That's exactly what I did. I read exact those instructions on another thread here & it worked out well.

^ 96---I like the later style grills.

Running with the billet grill for now but also have the stock (2010) grill hanging on the garage wall.
I keep looking at the damn thing wanting to do something different with it.
In my mind I'm thinking about the crosshatch or honeycomb between the slats to cut out and it would probably look really good.
The concern being is if there is enough remaining support for the Nissan emblem around the center which I would want to keep.
The 2010's have that down sloping (angular) backing adjacent to the emblem.
Sorry if a bit off topic.

That may be worth trying out!

By the way, your ride looks nice bro! The spacers really complete the look.

Very much appreciated, thank you. Still want and looking for the stock 09-11
19" wheels. It sets this car off that much more. Dumb luck to stumble onto some Z rays would also work.

Yeah the rays are sweet.

I know there were a set of 19's OEM in the classifieds....maybe you can work out a good deal for them.

Took me like 15 min top to take it off. Once you remove the front engine dressings, you can use flat head screw drivers to pop out all the clips.

Has anyone removed the 2012-2014 grille successfully without removing the bumper? Trying to swap grilles with my sister's max and I got mine out (I have a 2012, but previous owner put in the 09-11 grille after replacing the bumper) but hers seems impossible to get to those 2 middle tabs.
