Photos: My new Maxima (Java Metallic)

This was really more of a photography exercise for me than anything else.

But for a photographer, buying a new car is a good excuse to take pictures! Two wirelessly-triggered flashes and headlights reflected off a white garage door. To do it really right, I need at least two large soft boxes and stronger flashes, but I'm pretty pleased at how the shots turned out.

The color looks dark and rich in the sun. It's really, really, really quite nice. Don't know much about photography either, but the bottom one looks like it could be on a car ad.

Congrats Earguy on the purchase. Next time I'm at a dealership I think I'll keep my eyes open for a max in your color so I can see it in person.

Noticed your username Earguy, looked at your profile and saw 'audiologist.' I'm a hearing instrument specialist and my wife is an audiologist.

Glad to have you in these forums! Would love to have you start up a thread after driving the maxima for a couple weeks. Tell us your thoughts about the max compared to your previous ride!

Big fist-bump to a colleague!

I just may start up a "first impressions" thread. I had a 2005 Acura TL, that I put on every single inch of its 214,000 miles.

Java mettalic, thumbs up.

I've seen the new Java metallic in person, and I noticed it right away. Very rich. I sure wish it had been available in 2010 when I got my new SV -- it would have been my color choice, with charcoal leather. Alas, I have the frost white, which I thought was the best available at the time. I still like it, but evidently a lot of Maxima buyers thought the same thing. It seems like the most common color (or maybe I just notice it the most?). Black is way cool, but I learned the hard way about keeping a black car clean in a state where pollen season lasts 8 months of the year (or so it seems). Nice shots, and good luck!

oops. misspelled "metallic..."
