CXJ is the company, and BOP is the Block Off Plates

From their site:
"These plates replace the air restrictive oem V.I.A.S valves. By removing these and installing the CXJ bop plates you effectively turn your manifold into an open air system. "
"Testing has shown an increase of 7 horsepower increase and 4.3 added ft/lbs of added torque"

http://cxjperformance.com/index.php?...&product_id=46

Though I would be interested in knowing how they measured the gains.

OP what made you decide on the BOP? Some have reported noticeable gains, with a small percentage unsure. Ghozt, reported appreciable gains.

This exactly.. Personally it's not worth +1.4 Hp, for a 18hp loss...

I have the Block Off Plates..and I go hard on my 09 Maxima. I have lined up with newer Nissan Maximas (with and without mods) and let me tell you..they just cant keep up.

You lose very little in the low end..but when you get to a comfortable high speed, I guarantee you that your car will be pushing harder than the other Maxima.

i cant speak for what actual gains/losses these provide as nobody dyno'd them aside from the 5.7 gen. but i can tell you personally that I (and many others) would definitely have FELT an 18 HP loss with just a butt dyno seat of the pants driving - that is a HUGE loss. especially considering most people here say they feel gains off their intakes and exhausts, which range anywhere from 5-12 HP. if you can feel a 5-12 HP gain in the seat, you'd feel an upper-end 18 HP loss...

if you're worried about them not giving you any benefit, skip it, if you want to try them - they're not that expensive. i definitely recommend picking up the intake spacers though - awesome gains for the money.

I have felt the loss down low... But it seems to pick up in the higher RPMs. At least for me, that is what I observed. I do miss the missing power down below...

I don't think I will take them out tho... I'm pretty lazy like that. If I install it on my car.... It'll stay installed.

This is all the proof I need:

I don't understand why anyone would use these. You lose big power from 2,750rpm to 3,750 rpm and don't pick up a thing until 6,200rpm which is so marginal you wouldn't know it. Is there any documented evidence of noticeable horsepower gains from any other source?

Yeah sorry I didn't feel an almost 19 HP loss in the low end. My real world experience differs.

It is torque you are losing 19 of, not HP.
The chart shows about 8hp loss.
Also, the CVT is going to hide the loss fairly well, and the dyno isn't going to lie about it.
