I just installed a 55w hid kit with relay to the fog light, I have the headlight switch set to automatic on, when I start the engine the headlight come on, not the fog light, I have to turn the fog light switch off and on then it's come on. Anyone have any info how to fix this problem help

 

Maybe its due to the fog kit being 55w?

 

But it's work when I turn the light switch without start the engine.

 

You must also have the fog light switch turned on along with your headlights.

 

Yes I have both switches turn on its work fine without starting engine

 

Why the relay to the fogs? I installed a 35W kit that was plug n play. Just plugged the foglight harness into the conversion kit and was done.

 

agreed, I put a 35w HID kit in the fogs of my Max as well as multiple other vehicles and NEVER needed a relay, thats only to fool the canbus on the headlights of newer model vehicles.
