Was really slow at work and got busy with the dip. Man, I love working at a shop. What should be next visual upgrade? Tint? Springs? Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks all.

Thanks Tommy. I used Plasti dip. Lots of tape and lots of spraying. Very tedious job but well worth it I think. The grille was easy. The emblems were easy. The side trim was a pain. I was having trouble getting good even coverage. It took a couple of hours to do.

I have to try this, I have experience with plasti dip so I should've tried this before using the blackout tape. That stuff looked god awful, so I ripped it off quick.

When you paint the chrome around windows does it stick when you open the door. Just curious because that's what happened with my previous Altima when I tried it. I think that's why I wanted to try the tape this time around

Looks nice ! Can't never tell if you even did anything to it. The best thing is, when you drive by someone and they ask you if that's a limited edition lol. Little things make the car comes out better !

Is it flat or gloss look? I tried dipping a door handle and then clearing it to get a gloss look but that looked horrible. I guess i was thinking it would match the black of the car but it was way off.
Yours looks real solid

I think you should tint the mirror turn signals also, especially since you have a blacked out theme.

I have the paint ordered up to do the tail lights and the turn signals. The dip leaves a satin finish. It actually goes well with the car. I am going to compound and polish out all the spiderwebs in the paint after work. I will post pics with the car all cleaned up.

Looks good, I would just tint it as zoemayne said. For the life of me I don't know why Nissan did away with the blackened out trim on 5th, 6th and 7th gen SE's/SV Sports....

Did you do the door pillars too? I'm looking at plasti dipping all the chrome too but I feel like if I don't do the pillars as well it will look odd with flat black and gloss.

I think it looks good the roof trim and mirror trim is gloss. The windows will be gloss black once tinted IMO good combo at least till I get bored

It all looks great except the rear end. I would debage it. The Maxima logo and burger seem out of place up against the gloss paint. The trunk handle trim would look better gloss than flat, or is it just the lighting.

I like that. It looks much more sleeker. I have a love/hate relationship with chrome.
