2009 Nissan Maxima Front Bumper Removal

Hi all...I'm new to the site and this is my first post. I own a 2009 Nissan Maxima and bought the vehicle used. Evidently, the prior owner hit a deer (not much damage), but the place that "fixed" the car didn't use the proper paint for the front bumper and the paint is peeling off.

I have gotten a quote from a local shop and they want $1,200 to order a new bumper, paint, and install.

I do have some mechanical skills and in order to save on some costs, was wondering about removing the old bumper and installing the new one (once it's painted). That way I save on labor charges for removal and installation of the new front bumper.

I have looked all over the internet and can't find a site that shows how to remove the front bumper on the 2009 Maxima. Have found plenty on 2008 and earlier.

Does anyone have any advice/instructions/links on how to remove the front bumper?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you! I took a look at it last night and those are all the connections I saw. That helps out a bunch!

There's some guy on eBay that sells a painted front bumper for like $250, and then the swap is pretty straight forward if you follow the link KMoney posted.

You can definitely save money if you decide to install the bumper yourself as many online stores sell pre-painted car parts now for the do-it-yourselfer.

If you haven't already ordered the front bumper for your 2009 Maxima, ReveMoto.com sells it for $389.99 (including part, paint and shipping costs).

You can order the part here: http://www.revemoto.com/2009-nissan-...-front-bumper/

Hope that helps!
