Quote: The RL Y-pipe, I have one also and had to cut about 1/2 piece out of it to make the AAM exhaust fit also. It was not butchered and I think it looks pretty good.

I'm jumping on board aswell, if he can make a better design and better quality part from front to back in a new y-pipe (maybe 3") I will definably buy one. I'm iffy on the high flow cats at the moment and have to see what will be and the final cost on them and the labour involved to get them installed.
yeah mine wasn't butchered either, AAM is who installed my exhaust and modified the Y-pipe. just the actual Y-pipe looks like a rusted bucket of **** and they said the steel used was pretty low quality.

i dont imagine the HFC's will be a mod the average Maxima owner picks up; its definitely going to end up being one of the more expensive mods when you tack on labor. this is primarily for the enthusiasts with full bolt-ons and tune who wanna squeeze out some more power or the exhaust enthusiasts who want a more aggressive sound.

The redline y-pipe isn't available says the website. Pretty sure Cattman isn't making them, so there's a need for sure.

Bumping this. I know he has problems with finding a reliable source/cutter for his phenolic spacers, but hopefully this project hasn't been completely shelved.

He's back in business now with a new source, but it may take a bit for him to get caught back up. Tons of people are wanting these spacers already.

That's good to hear, I plan on getting some eventually. Any word about this project though?

Jeez a full exhaust is a pretty penny isn't it? Looking at a borla cat back, 870 at least. So if I'm understanding this correctly, you'd still need a y-pipe and headers to completely mod the entire exhaust right? Jeeeeez plus the labor? Dwaaaaamn... Looks like I need to pick up a few more hours on my 2nd job if I wanna play.

Edit* - Just some more searching... $600 for performance headers? So we're up to $1470... http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBX-RACING-SPORT-EXHAUST-HEADER-SYSTEM-09-14-NISSAN-MAXIMA-V6-VQ35DE-A35-/161272017870?nma=true&si=QktJAZfgd8HlJBzKKQqL6R1CP%252Bw%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
Edit**- Add a RL y-pipe (seems most everybody has) for an additional 300 bucks. Also, is this RL our only option until this forum says otherwise lol? .http://racinglineperformance.com/sho...p?idproduct=22

So, RL y-pipe, Borla exhaust, and the OBX headers will run you about $1800... just gotta find somebody to install for free and I just might do it... JEEEEZ!

Nope...if you get what the picture shows no RL Y-pipe will needed with the OBX header system. Hmm...I see you get O2 bungs but no Hi-FLOW CATS included? I know it's a racing set-up but still poor product description.
Looks interesting though, thanks for posting.
