This is one car that is here to stay. I think things can only get better for the Maxima. I know that this model is fun to drive, despite the apparent loathing of the CVT. I like the CVT and really like everything about the car (except the fact that I don't have Bluetooth Audio) and can't wait until the 8th gen is unveiled.

You don't have bluetooth in the car? I do! Maybe it's because I have the tech package?!

The tech package is only compatible with certain phones though. Apparently 2 of the phones I have owned are supposed to not work- Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3. Well, they do work, it just takes a minute or so to switch over...

Do you have the Bose system??

I can attest to the questionable paint quality on my new 2014 in K23 (Brilliant Silver). Is it enough to bother me? No, but I know it is there and it doesn't really bother me. I was looking at a black Maxima and nothing but orange peel, and all the other black Maximas represented the same quality including the rear bumpers that had a hazy reflection in comparison to the other body panels, paint bubbles here and there, and what seemed to be dust particles that settled underneath the paint. This is also another reason why I chose silver, it hides a lot of imperfections from the weather and wear and tear, and also had the best quality of the colors alongside white and gray. Even the 2014 Nissan GTR sitting in the showroom had orange peel. I would say that the build quality on the Maxima is less than the car it replaced which was a 2009 Buick LaCrosse, yeah I know you can laugh but it saved my life after a head-on collision, and plus the Maxima matches my personality better and I really enjoy it.

I have Bluetooth in the car just not Bluetooth wireless audio streaming. It is only available for the tech package which I opted out of. I do have the Bose system however and everything else except navigation and Bluetooth wireless audio streaming.

In regards to paint. I didn't notice anything wrong with my paint job on the pearl white or winter frost... whatever Nissan calls it nowadays. I did get a couple of paint chips from rocks driving behind big trucks and I have noticed a little rust. I'm assuming the chips were deep enough to get to the metal. That does suck however. I need to get that touched up. I have noticed some small "uneven" areas in the interior but only because I scrutinize everything. I'll have to take a look at the front and rear bumper to see if they line up.

That's weird... Your car doesn't support streaming apps such as Pandora or Youtube? I just play it on my phone and it goes through the Bluetooth.

I DO know that the Nissan Music app (I can't remember the name) that has Pandora and such programmed, doesn't work in the 2013 Maxima's. It's a shame... It works in the Altimas, just not the Maximas. Stupid in my opinion.

Also, anyone having trouble with the Nav? Mine is SO inaccurate. Took it to the dealership and they said that it could be fixed by doing a map update, but that you can only buy it through Nissan. $100+ This sucks too... Actually, they weren't sure that would work either...

It supports those apps through the composite connections in the console.

That's why I opted out of the navigation because it's not too reliable and the map update costs too much when I can use my iPad Mini or my Note when I'm driving and the directions are spot on.

That sucks that you can't stream. Thank God I got the tech package! I live by Bluetooth!

I as well use my Note. Google Maps is MUCH more easy to use. When you use maps does the voice play through your Bluetooth. Mine does, but ONLY when I'm in the Bluetooth setting (not while I'm using XM).

So, I'm thankful for the tech package, but it still has bugs...

Edit: rant deleted. No longer have the car. Very happy about it.
