Exhaust thoughts.

Hey all, New to the forums here and just want to get some ideas on what you guys have done with your cars exhausts. I'm looking into getting one of those racing line y pipes and currently have a k&n cai. What else should I do with the y pipe. Probably different muffler I assume? I don't want too much of the tuner sound I would like a deep rumble sound if that helps. Thanks! !

Borla cat back or would a muffler suffice? I want to keep the cost down as the y pipe is around 300.

I purchased a Borla cat back and I love it. It made a noticeable difference in acceleration. Some people say Borla isn't loud enough. With my windows rolled up and the radio turned half the way up I can still hear it. I don't know how loud you want your Max to be, but I like to be able to carry on a conversation in my car without yelling. And it only took 90 minutes to install.

AAM all the way, but people don't like the price tag. I used to have the Borla and upgraded - I barely listen to music anymore I just cruise with the windows down to listen to the exhaust. And it is DEFINITELY not loud enough to make it difficult to have a conversation in the car. It's more DEEP than loud.

If you want an economical solution and don't mind chopping up the stock exhaust, custom route is the way to go. Throw a different resonator and mufflers and your car will sound completely different.
