I was going to ship them out to kmoney to get these done but with it getting darker earlier ad the time I get out of work its near impossible. Anyways I get the whole jist of doing them painting, mounting, etc. only thing I haven't found here is where people are attaching the leads from the halos. I know it has to be something that stays on while the cars on. But is there something close by headlight. I guess I'm just wondering where people are attaching them. I'm pretty handy just one thing I'm concerned about before placing a order

 

Parking lights or to a seperate switch.

 

In would let Kmoney do it....i have my connected to a remote switch so it turns on and off when I want to. Parking lights do not have to be on for them to work!

 

Well, it depends. I would get DRL rely to have them on all the time. KMONEY knows, just ask which one to buy.

 

So it's alittle more difficult then I thought. Me and kmoney are exchanging pms, ill get to the bottom I this lol, ill have to figure out another form of transportation in the meantime

it's not too hard of a job, theres DIY's on my7thgen.org and in our FB group. we've had 3 or 4 people do their own having never done them before just in the past 2 months. you can usually start it on a friday evening and be finishing up sunday afternoon. most of it is getting the headlights off the car, waiting 24 hours while the paint fumes on anything you painted, then getting them back on the car. you can use tap-in connectors (google it) from radioshack to splice them into the parking lights very easily. i have mine on a separate wireless remote, but i think you get the idea.

 

Thanks ghozt, this was helpful and encouraging. I'm good at stuff like this. I'm busy this weekend so I'm gonna gather materials I need and 2 weeks give this a go. Ill report back with the outcome

 

After doing a lot of research thru the forum I've learned how to do this with a lot of great write ups. I'm pretty handy of tasks like this, I've done all types of audio installs but never messed with the headlights. So my plan is to paint the housing two tone white/black( my cars white) skip the halos and be alittle different...Install led turn signal switchbacks with load resisters, swap out the parking bulb for 194 white led. The hids I currently have in the car are 6000k so the color should match up pretty good. Also I'm going to put some type of led running light either in the brake ducts as many people here have or incorporate them into the headlight some how.

Any pictures of white maximas with custom headlights would be appreciated for ideas, thanks
