Seat Vibration
Seat Vibration
I'm approaching my wits' end on this. I've found numerous forum posts on this site and others mentioning problems with vibration in the seats and/or steering wheel with the 7th gen Maximas.
In my case, over the course of a year (on my 2012 Maxima SV), the dealer has rebalanced the wheels many times, including road-force balances. I eventually decided to live with it after a few weeks of bringing the car back to the dealer. They drove the car more than I did for its first month.
I recently had the first tire rotation done, and the vibration in the seats became much worse. If no one sits in the passenger seat, it shakes like crazy.
My wife gets serious headaches to the point she can't walk straight after getting out of my car when we've been on the highway.
I just picked up my car from the dealer, who basically gave up, because Nissan acknowledges the problem, but has no fix for it. Many people have suggested Michelin Primacy tires, but the dealer and district manager for Nissan corporate both declined.
At this point, I'm going to have to start dealing with Nissan corporate directly. I am just under one year in the lease, and if they can't fix the vibrations, my wife can't ride in the car with me anymore.
If anyone has any experience dealing with Nissan customer service, please post about it here. From what I've heard about dealing with the seat vibration issue, they are not helpful.

Ford Owns Work
Service manager called me next day and suggested they replace the seat back frames, because another service manager said it solves the issue. I called Nissan Customer support, and they said they'd call on Monday (today)
Just talked to Nissan Customer service. A representative is following up with the dealer and will call in three days to follow up again. She said there's a possibility Nissan corporate would spring for Michelins.
The dealers said the 2009 TSB probably won't fix the problem. Driver's seat also vibrates, and there's still some vibration in the steering.
