Can these cars be reprogrammed to unlock the doors when in park versus when when the cars is off?

 

Mine unlocks when ignition is in the off position, I bet the dealer changed something if u had it in for service. I can't answer how but it should be working...some one here will elaborate

Edit: sorry misread what you meant, disregard the above. Unlocking in the park position would be nice

 

I just set mine to NOT lock in "D"

 

The system can be programmed to function differently - the dealer must use Consult 3+ to perform this.

 

Yes. The dealer can easily do this, usually for no charge on a new car. It certainly makes it less frustrating to let someone off or pick someone up.
