2nd Maxima first car help please

Hey guys this is my first thread and my car purchase. Just got started with a Used 2012 Maxima S

everything stanrad super black paint with black interior (non leather) no nav or bose

I was wondering if it was possible to get the spoiler and or fog lights add- to the car? If so where would be the best place to get parts and get it serviced.

figured the dealership would not do this for me, and if they did would charge outrageous amounts of money

Thanks for the help guys also Im out in the bay area

If your handy you can do both yourself, the fog lights are prewired, you can order those from courtesyparts.com. They are oem with the factory switch. The spoiler you can purchase from eBay, or Amazon for cheap. There's a lot of DIYs on this forum to help with installs

Be carefull on the spoiler install, even slight mistake could lead to rust. I would pay the extra $$ to have the dealer do it unless you are very confident in your skills

How much did you pay ?

No problem, If u bought the spoiler pre painted, and u don't feel comfortable drilling holes. A auto body shouldn't charge no more then $50 to install something like that

Was lucky, I had just got into an accident oin my 01 maxima that I was driving.

I got it for less around 19.9 from a dealrship out here, certified and still on manufacture warranty.

All in all I'm happy with the options that were available, would like to improve some things feature set wise like tint, fog lights spoiler back up cam.

Nav and backup camera maybe hard to do with the red unit, but if anyone has pointers or can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated

been reading this forum non-stop since right before i made the purchase.

And its my first car

Sucks about the accident ... but congrats on the new whip. As others have said ... you can definitely add those things. With the fogs .. you might have to get a new OEM steering wheel stalk; I'm not sure if the S has the correct stalk.

It doesn't have the foglight switch on the stalk, this is the bundle from Courtesy for a stalk with auto lamps

The stalk is very easy to add, 15 mins tops and you know how to turn a screwdriver.

The fogs are a bit of a pain in the *** with the front bumper on because of the way the mounting bolt sits. But if you're patient and have a few beers on hand (For when the wife *****es that the kitchen barrel is full while you're under the car) then it shouldn't be a problem.
