Possessed door locks 2010 max... help
Possessed door locks 2010 max... help
I have been having an issue with the left side driver/passenger power door locks.
The rear door and driverside lock just stopped working, wether I use the key fob or the button or the keyless entry on the door handle. Sometimes, when I shut off the ignition the driver side door does not unlock as it is suppose to automatically. I have played with all of the settings in the comfort in the display. I have changed batteries in my key fobs... just inconsistent.
Sometimes I hit the unlock and I hear a noise in the rear of the driver side trunk area, then nothing unlocks. Then it fires again after several times and the sound is louder and the drivers door unlocks.
The dealer is trying to tell me it probably just needs a reprogram, I have a feeling it may be an actuator issue. Anyone have this happen or can give me advice?

Tried both key Fob's still wouldn't work consistently. Replaced the batteries again and after a day or two the damn problem resolved itself, just like that.
Still not sure what caused the issue or what resolved it.
I had something similar happen to my newly purchased 2009 when I first got it. My problem would be there one day and gone the next. Sometimes the door would randomly lock 20 minutes into my trip. It also kept the interior lights from coming on, at night. After weeks of going back and forth with the dealer, and a great deal of frustration, the problem was finally found to be a loose pin in one of the connectors going to the Body Control Module. Just a slight push by a screwdriver to get the pin to re-seat into the socket housing fixed it all.
But of course first the dealership played the "lets replace everything game" before they put an experienced person on it that actually diagnosed the problem. They had replaced door lock actuators and switches in the door, all on their dime (in warrenty at the time). The real kicker is they stuck me in a POS Subaru 4-cylinder loaner as well for most of the time.
Don't get me wrong. I love my car and I am gadget freak, but sometimes i think it's better if we go back to basics and ride a horse.
