wiper problem, i think????

live in tx drove to ne ohio for the holidays. went outside the first morning here and turned on the wipers to clear the snow off the windshield and they would not come on. Thought they were frozen to the windshield so I pulled them away from the windshield, still nothing. After about 2 minutes they start working. Worked all day . every morning since same 2 minute delay??? anyone have any ideas????? Thanks

Do you have this two minute delay in all four of the on positions of the wiper? The on positions being wash, delay, low, high.

It's probably a fail safe so the motor or arm doesn't burn out . I had that happen in another car I had before .

Yes all positions. really did not use wipers in tx so I don't know if it does the same thing in non freezing temps. This morning the blue washer fluid was frozen. LOL. it was only around 25 over night.

Reminds me of when my family from Florida comes to boston to visit, it's 60 degrees, were in shorts and there in sweatshirts. It's just the cold bro, every car acts different in the cold especially frigid weather. And I find nissans to be alittle bit more cranky in the colder weather, and a dream in the warm
