LCD screen on dash too bright, solution

My lcd screen for the radio/hvac is too bright at night. I have the dimmer all the way down.
I asked the guy that tinted my windows if he'd tint the 7" screen but he said it won't work cause it's plastic.

So does anyone else have the need to turn down the brightness of their screen at night?

I'm thinking maybe VHT taillight tint spray??

Get the do-it-yourself tint from your local auto store. Those stick to anything since it's just a giant sticker.
But that is a waste of the rest of the tint, so uh... I dunno....
