Braking distance
I agree that under normal driving circumstances the stock brakes perform very good.
They will also experience fade under repetitive hard braking like at the track.

I'm comparing the stopping distance and ABS intervention to my former daily driver, a 2006 Jaguar XJ8 on 255 40 19 Bridgestone three-season tires and the same size rotors. It weighs an extra 200 lbs. The ABS on the Jag rarely activates whereas the Max driven on the same roads does. Also, there have been a few stops that did not instill the same confidence as the Jag. The Max almost feels nervous on sudden stops. I think the stock tires might have a lot to do with this.
My '09 Max is over 5 years old, has original tires, brakes, alignment, and not only stops quicker than my previous Maximas (all gens 2nd thru 7th), but is the first vehicle I have driven in 65 years of driving in which every stop is admirably short and buttery smooth, with no sign of pulling to one side or the other, and no sign of vibration or warping or glazing of rotors.
I feel very lucky, as I know some here driving Maximas just like mine have not been as fortunate with their brakes.
