I have seen videos where there are two screws that need to be removed and then you have to wedge the tail light out or hit the inside bolts with a rubber mallet to force the assembly out.

On my car I don't see any screws to remove. Just two posts that look like they have rubber boots over them. I am sure it is something stupid that I am missing but I couldn't figure it out.

 

You will have to peel down the trunk carpeting to access those bolts.

 

I tried popping the tail lights out and banging on the bolts on the inside and ended up breaking parts of the outer edges of the tail lights so I gave up! Brand new 2013. Ridiculous that u can't easily change bulbs out anymore without dealing something.
