Grinding/Vibration in gas pedal when accelerating

Hello. I have a 2010 Max SV. Just wondering if anybody else experienced this vibration or grinding like feeling in the gas pedal? I first thought it was cheap gas(convenient store premium gas) I would sometimes put in it...but even when I use Top grade gas it still does it...it's very irritating. What could it be?

Just some clarification please.... The gas pedal actuates a electronic solenoid in the throttle body. There is nothing within the gas pedal that can even make a sound. Can you please help us out and give a clearer description of what is going on. I want to help you but the info provided is extremely vague.

This is what I was thinking. I had several bearings go on my '95 and this sounds like how it started. If it is...just wait, it'll get worse

Thanks. But I never said there was any sound. There's no sound. My acceleration isn't smooth anymore. When I'm doing, maybe 20mph or more there's a grinding like feeling that I can feel thru my foot from my gas pedal. It's hard to explain. My throttle body was extremely dirty so I just cleaned that out and kinda did my own fuel injection cleaning by unhooking the hose to the intake and spraying throttle cleaner in...something like how the repair shop does but want to charge you 180

Sounds like you need a new repair shop we get 59 bucks for that. Do they stroke your hand while waiting for service for that price? LOL... Remember its only bad if you like it. BTW you wouldn't feel a wheel bearing grind through the gas pedal. You would feel it through the steering wheel. If bad enough to feel through the steering wheel you would hear a howling or crunching sound.

I'm not going to lie, my 09 with 90k on it kinda has the same feeling. It's sort of a low end vibration that only happens during low/slow acceleration. If I step on it, I don't feel it at all. My guess is I'm just not used to driving a CVT. Coming from an manual '02 which has incredible smooth acceleration, it just feels different. I did do a CVT fluid change to see if it would help. It did just a little but it is still there. I wish we could drive each others too see if it is the same issue.

Just bought a 2012 Max SV from a dealership at 37k miles. I am experiencing the same issue and am having my personal mechanic check it out.

Similar experience as you, there's a slight vibration felt in the gas pedal at very low rpms 500 to 1500. I'm not sure if it's just how CVT trannys are or how the 7th Gen Maxs are suppose to operate.

Maybe it's switching from my 2010 Corolla to the 2012 Maxima, but I've never felt a vibration from the gas pedal before until driving my new Max. Hopefully it's not an issue and just takes some getting use to.

My gas pedal does the same thing, usually only when I am turning... Strange getting vibrations on drive-by-wire pedals. I'm at 37k, this strange behavior has no ill effects to note.

I had this similar feeling in my 09 Altima as well as my current 10 maxima, having owned 2 nissans, both with cvt I'd have to name that the culprit.

Me too

Recently I've felt the same vibration when accelerating. Happens only once is a while. Any updated shop info yet?
Wonder if its the ABS Self testing noise. (NTB10-077 Abs Self checking)
