2009 Maxima radio issue

I have a 2009 Nissan Maxima SV and cannot fix the time. Every time I change the time or radio preset, it will change and stay to what I set it at until I shut off the car and get out and lock it. When I get back in the car and start it, it is right back to the original time (4 min slow) and the radio defaults back to the same preset every time. No matter what I do. I pulled every audio fuse and still upon startup the time and preset revert back to what it was before I changed it! Now with daylight savings im an hour off in addition to my four minutes slow. I can change the day light savings to on and it will change. It will stay correct if I shut the ignition and restart as long as I dont shut it off and leave the car and re-enter, then its wrong again. No one has ever heard of this! Have you? Thank you..... Steve

Sounds like a faulty radio unit to me. What stereo do you have. Do you have the color or monochrome display?

Thanks for the reply... Its a color Bose w/o nav. Actually I did take someones advice and it worked. If you hold the settings button and turn the volume **** at least 40 clicks, it opens up a diagnostic menu. On the right side, bottom of screen it says " cold start re-boot". That is actually for the stereo. It clears all memory... Just letting you guys know it worked for me and there are other cool things in the me us to play with too. Also if you hold the back button and turn the volume **** 40 or more clicks a different menu screen comes up where you can also play with the backup camera and stuff.

Ya I actually had the orange monochrome crap with Bose. Took it out and put a Nexus 7 in that space. Glad to hear you got it figured out.
