Whistle

I have a 2012 Nissan Maxima. When I am stopped in Drive with brake on, I can hear a high pitch whistle noise. It will do it also when I am coasting. What is this and does it need to be fixed?

Thanks.

If your car is still under warranty (3 years or less from the build date) I would take it in to the dealership, it is not normal. Make sure you go for a drive with the tech to replicate the sound so they can hear it. Just don't drop the car off and leave and think it will be fixed.

BTW...welcome to the forum!

Ok, thanks.
I was at Firestone having my oil changed and the guy told me it is probably the intake valve and was nothing to worry about. The noise just annoys me and actually is embarressing.
