I've searched and have not found a write up on using V3 switchback bulbs (in headlight housing not fog lights) as a DRL. Has anyone done this, if so is there a write up or wiring diagram? My apologies if I missed a thread on these.

I have these and they are a simple plug and play. It's like hooking up some HIDs. The LEDs have a ballast and you hook one part up to the bulb and the other part to your OEM turn signal bulb plug. They fit right into your turn signal socket with a collar and two screws on the color of the V3.

I understand the installation part if I want to use as is but I want them to stay on without turning on the parking lights. Can they be wired to come on when the car is turn on?

For a DRL I think you need something kinda like this...not an expert and probably more options out there....

My mistake, I would say you would have to wire your turn signal wire to turn on when the car turns on.

To answer your question, yes the VLED switchback turn signals can be used as DRL as they have an additional wire for dimming when your actual headlights are turned on. Also, like someone above mentioned, you will have to require your turn signals to come on with the car or some sort of standalone switch in order to have the setup you want. I don't believe our US cars come with the DRL module from the factory like the Canadian cars. (I could be wrong tho) You should pm kmoney or Ghozt for clarification as they are the lifting Gods of the 7th gen. lol

Thanks for your answer. I did PM Ghozt but he seems to have a lot of traffic.
