Angel eye headlights

So I'm curious, how long has your angel eyes held up? I have the angel eyes, and just recently noticed one has "come off". This sucks for me because I didn't do the baking myself so it's not as simple as just gluing it back on

Ouch, sounds like a bad install of whoever built them.

I hope it wasn't a bad install, a fellow org member did them for me. But I'm curious as to how long everyone has had theirs installed. I'm almost certain mine is less than a year

I've had mine on for years now. They definitely shouldn't just fall off if installed properly..

What does the adhesive look like on the halo? Is it yellowish or is it dark gray?

It's a dark color

I'm guessing they were put on with jb weld then. It mustve been a bad install or the epoxy wasn't mixed properly when put on? Gonna have to take them off and bake them open yourself or go with Ghozt Lighting. Haven't heard any complaints from Ghozt Lighting and everyone who got work done with him says it's quality work.

I'm not saying the installer did anything faulty, but the adhesive didn't seem to hold up very long

At this point I'm gonna take the plunge and do the bake myself. Probably easier than I'm thinking, but considering I already paid to have it done once, I really don't want to pay a 2nd time for the same thing

I'd contact the original installer and have them fix it, it is definitely not normal for it to fall off. As mentioned above the epoxy could have not be mixed correctly with even portions and therefore not hardened all the way. Any legit shop should have a warranty on work like this.

There's the catch, I don't think it was a "shop" per say. It was a fellow org member with very a very good track record of doing these installs, and I do mean very good track record. He was very highly recommended and very highly praised. Maybe he will chime in on this thread at some point and warrant his work, considering he's a long time org member

Oh you hadn't tried contacting them privately first to see if they'd help you and fix the problem? I would have probably started there myself.

I did message them to ask if they can help out, just waiting for a response. I only started the thread to get a consensus on what average adhesion expectancy could potentially be. I don't want anyone to think I'm making like the installer did a bad job, because that's not the case.

I went the Ghoztlighting route and I must say I am super pleased with the outcome and quality of work. He's hands down the best lo key Maxima lighting guy around!

Don't want the thread to get sidetracked about who's the best and who not to go to for lighting, I'm really interested in how long the lights have been installed. Thanks in advance everyone
