So I suck at painting, but I hit an emblem with some Tamiya PS-31 smoke spray. I wonder how it'd hold up if I actually put it on the vehicle. Debating putting it on and doing the chrome trunk trim as well.



Thoughts about the way it looks? It's actually pretty even, save for a couple of dark droplets in random places...

 

Oh, and that's my third attempt or so. Cleaning it up after the second attempt, I ended up stripping the black lettering off... oops..

 

Looks pretty clean to me. Perfect timing too since I'm looking at doing ALL of my chrome trim this weekend with Dupli Color's black chrome kit...

 

I actually was looking at that too! Let me know how that works for you. I might end up going that route, as I'm afraid this won't hold up to the elements as well as that, even though it looks like someone has used this on the emblem on their front bumper..
