Thinking about putting window deflectors on but I feel it would negatively effect its looks. Opinions/Pics?

 

You mean, like vent visors? They look okay.

 

Be sure to buy quality ones. I bought a set for my beater car, an integra, and the things melted in the sun. Pretty sad.
Also if they cover the fake chrome window trim then it would be a major win. Imo

 

Someone on here (can't remember who) had a slim version of these and they actually looked pretty sharp! They also make a slim visor for the sunroof as well.

 

Being a very practical sort of person, and living in middle Georgia, where the temps are miserable all summer, and thunderstorms can sneak up quickly, I have used vent visors on every generation Maxima from fall of 1984 until now (used them on Nissan Datsuns before 1984).

Vent visors enable me to leave all four windows cracked a few inches, so that I do not suffer third degree burns when re-entering the car after it has been steaming in the sun for hours.

Some folks don't like the looks, but I'm into comfort, not looks. Actually, I don't think they look that bad.

 

I think they look great. Just stay away from the in channel visors. Our windows are too thick, and they rub against the visor. The rear windows never even closed because of them.

 

Anyone recommend a certain brand of quality ones, or have a website to buy them?

@ lightonthehill a sunshade would probably work better. I use that and I have 5% tints.

 

Sunshades won't keep the rain out. And tints won't keep the rain out either. We are talking about rain guards over the top of side windows so they can be left cracked open a few inches so heat won't build up to 150 degrees inside the car when parked in the sun. I think you are talking in terms of blocking heat from the sun.

The AVS ones both in-channel and out have gotten terrible reviews. The best ones I've found are the weathertech in-channel ones. They have gotten great reviews. Unfortunately, weathertech seems to have a static pricing so you won't find a deal on them. Everywhere I have looked they have been the exact same price.

The Low Profile AVS. They are the best. people ask me all the time where I got em. They don"t "channel in" They are held on by double sided 3m tape. The only area that tucks in, by the mirror. These things are GREAT. AND they come with a thinner chrome trim piece. Don't really know why anyone would pass these up..
