Will not unlock/open

Key fob or door or inside switches will lock the doors.
Key fob will roll up/down windows.
The car will chirp and blink for both lock and unlock.
But you can't unlock the car neither with key fob, door or inside switches.
The only way in is the physical key.
There is a similar click coming from under the steering wheel.
But when locking you get that locking sound where unlocking does everything it's suppose to just doesn't unlock.

Is there a relay just for unlocking?
Any other thoughts/suggestions?
Thanks!

Not sure what is causing your problem. But I would try another remote and/or change the battery if it's been a while. Try the easy, cheap stuff first.

I've heard some people needing to get the receiver module changed. I've come across this a few times where I couldn't push the button on the door or trunk to open them, but could with the Key Fobb. Really weird.

It might just be that damn "golfball" radar in Pearl Harbor though.

So I dug in deeper...found what was clicking when you lock and unlock. It lookalike a slim box that sits horizontally right behind the dashboard. Central control unit? Can someone confirm? The part numbers I am reading are 9E157 or JA03B

I'm pretty sure that's your BCM (Basic Control Module). If it's going bad, Nissan's going to have to replace it. It controls a lot of things like your lights, door locks, power windows, electronic steering column, etc.

Thanks Shipwreck!
I took it out this morning.
From another forum, with similar problem, I got it to work intermittently ...by tapping on the relays inside
Which means will have to be replaced and this is only a bandaid.
From what I read , once replaced the keys would have to be reprogrammed to the new module.
I just want to confirm that's true, since it's little tedious to get the module in and out, which I could do. But programming might gave to be done by the dealer .

^Yes, the new BCM (Body Control Unit) will need "write configuration" using CONSULT III.

Glad to hear it's working now. But be warned it can and will probably act up again.
Technology is amazing when it works right, frustrating as hell when it doesn't. I had/have an intermittent issues with my door locks as well.

I agree!
Well at least i got the picture of the label on that part...which i am still looking around to see which of those numbers is the designated number for the part...and then i can shop around for the part...unlike the steering lock...at least this isnt a crippling "defect"
