Mirror turn signals out..

So I just noticed my driver side mirror signal is out but passenger side only has 2 LEDs working. Dealer priced me with install $1600 to replace both mirrors! Anyways, I've seen some sequential LED signals from zledslights.com but costs $180 and I have to remove that part from the assembly and ship it to them. One thing that bugs me about that is the fact I'll be driving with a missing part on my car and another is the electronics in the mirror could possibly get damaged by weather, bugs, road debris. Is there any DIY way to do this or possibly remove whatever strip/board that is in the housing to a sequential amber? Oh and another thing.. I hate mixing makers of my lighting just because I don't want possibly the slightest color difference or output of the lights and that feeling just bugs me to worry.. LOL excuse me for being so insecure on this.

Would be just about the same to replace the whole assembly with led, and just have them painted which shouldn't be much if u know a body shop
