Tilt Motor replaced.

So my Tilt motor gave out 2 years ago and I finally got a chance to get it replaced. The Infiniti Dealer that I took it to ( I work here) charged the extended warranty company $467.00.

Now out of pocket, I paid $100 for extended warranty claim. Nissan wanted $900. I know what your thinking, you work there so they hooked you up. Well false, see we replace them on the FXs all the time and it comes out to about the same price. FXs had the same problem.

My point is, either prices have come down alot on parts or Nissan really wants to
take you for every dime.

Parts $255.08
Labor 1.5 hours for a total of $212.00

Have a good day.

What hold on? Nissan charges you a deductible for warranty work? What is the $100 paying towards?

Sorry, I am a bit confused on your post. My previous car, GM, handled all the warranty work on my car with no questions asked and no expenses out of pocket. Although, the dealership liked to give me the runaround and excuses to see how long I could fare since I was approaching the deadline of my warranty. A quick contact to corporate and they handled the issue immediately with the dealer, so I cannot say GM did not come through with their work.

Probably the $100 was the deductible toward his optional extended warranty.
