lighted kick plates

Forgive me if this has been discussed and I missed it.
Does anyone know for sure whether or not the illuminated kick plates from a '13 can be installed in a '11 without significant modification?

It can but you'll have to splice cables to get the connection.

Ghozt has a write up somewhere on the forum

Here is the link to his DIY write up.

I am actually looking to get these as well. Anyone know where to get them online? The place they all got theirs is no longer in business(or at least the link is broken and the site is down) and the dealership is saying $200 for the kit and they paid like $125 for them a few years ago.

Thanks for the help all. Appreciated. Especially the link to the how to write up. Great write up btw.
I just purchased a set on ebay new for $120 including shipping. There's more avail on there for like $140 from different seller. Amazon has a pair for $120 also from quirk parts.
Can't wait to install them.

I snatched up the $120 set from Amazon. The install looks super easy (thanks to the DIY-Thanks, Ghozt). I am also thinking about pulling the gun on the puddle lights although drilling into my cars exterior makes me nervous.

U should do the puddle lights they are cool I get tons of compliments for them. They are actually convenient too not just for aesthetics although that's a nice bonus.

As I type this I am seating at my local stealership where I just ordered them! I'm here getting an oil change so I figured why not...they should be here next week I was told. There are in depth instructions written by Nissan for the puddle install but for 13+ model year maximas. I have a 2009 so I may need to improvise and tap into the foot well lights. My only question would be is that going to be too much drawing power from the foot well light? Both the kick plates and puddle lights will have to be tapped in. Anyone have experience with this????
