Ugh that's a dad for you. The all knowing parent that tends to mess up the most lol. Sorry to hear man.

Looks like it could possibly be fixed (minus the paint job) by replacing the bottom rivets but it honestly looks like the bumper has been damaged more than it's worth.

Maybe a good repair shop could fix it like new so call around and see. Good luck!

Wanted to suggest it but decided not to.

You can get really good OEM style bumpers on eBay for under $150 already primered.

Good luck with everything.

That sucks. I like the idea of adding a lip if your getting a bumper painted. The best idea is having dad pay!

Looks like you also yanked the tow hook out pulling off that stump.

The respect I have for my Dad would prevent me from posting anything like this on social media.

Yeah man, heartbreaker. Especially after what you've just done. Feel for you, man. Good luck and nothing you don't know already but be sure to pay close attention after everything is fixed for any noises or differences mechanically or aesthetically from before the mishap to now.

Are you talking about the Transmission cooler? if so, it's leaking CVT fluid.

Sounds like the tranny cooler. Not good. That cvt oil is expensive and it takes a lot to replace if you loose a good amount. Good luck getting your car up and running again.

This 7th gen Maxima has the least ground clearance (4.5 inches) of any Maxima ever built. I wouldn't even risk running over an opossum, armadillo or turtle with this car, much less go 'off-road.'

For those who tear up the plastic shield under the front engine area, a replacement shield costs around $56 from Nissan, and the dealer will charge another $50 to $60 or so to remove the shreds of the old one and install the new one. How did I find out? Speed bumps in middle Georgia are designed for ATVs and SUVs, not low-slung 4 door sedans.
