Weathertech floor liners
Weathertech floor liners
I have been thinking about getting some of the weathertec floor liners to put in my new Maxima, in hopes to keep the carpet looking as new as possible. Plus I can just take the out to knock the dirt and gavel off, wash them off, and put them back in the car. Does anyone else here have them? How good do they fit and are they worth the price for them? Does anyone know of a place that sells them cheaper than directly from Weather tech?
Before someone else jumps on u, try the search...many people have them installed, weather tech is the best so fitment will be a 100%, u can check amazon, they usually have good deals....
Another option is the Oem rubber mats, many people here have them as well

I have them.
PROS: The fit is absolutely perfect, and the detail with which they hug the floor of the car is amazing. Protection is amazing too. You can easily drive a car 10 years with these and have your floors look like new.
CONS: Expensive. Do not look as good as clean factory carpet mats, not even close, there is no competition, mats look sophisticated, this looks like the floor of a pick-up truck. I have tan leather in my car and the tan that weathertech sell is VERY DIFFERENT from their picture. WT's color is very brownish, with some red in it, and looks absolutely gagingly absorent on top of beige carpet. I had to return them and ordered back the black ones. Much better color matching.
Also, beware, these are rather slippery. It takes some getting used to. Almost fell a few times.
Bottom line, if your goal is protection and willing to sacrifice looks - go for it.
But there are some fools out there who think of buying this plastic for the looks.. forget about that.
Oh, i have the trunk tray as well. This one is much softer and to be honest looks actually better than the black carpet because it has some pretty detail. I do recommend the trunk one!

I have the weathertech's in my car. I only got the fronts because the rear seats are so rarely used.
They fit perfectly. They look good. They do what they are supposed to. To keep them clean, all you have to do is take them out, knock out the dirt, hose them off, and put them back in.
I like the look, but you do have to get used to having plastic on the floor instead of that carpet. I cleaned mine off the other day and the carpet underneath is factory perfect. I just took my mats and threw them in the trunk, where they have remained spotless.
Living in the Chicago area, last winter something like 400 pounds of road salt and ice was caught in the liners and kept off of my floor. When the salt and stuff dried, it turns into this flaky weird white stuff. I gave my dad a ride and he commented about how much gunk was on them. The next day, he ordered a set for his then one week old 528.
I've also accidentally spilled cans of soda, monster lo-carb, coffee, etc., and not a drop made it's way onto the carpet underneath.
I highly recommend them. I think they look cool too.
I think it looks pretty good with the black leather in the dark color liner. BTW, my wife has weathertech style all weather rubber mats in her car and they don't do nearly as good of a job of protecting the car. After I installed mine, she commented that when she gets her next car, she's going to want some liners too...

Thanks everyone, I'm going to get a set for the front and probably a liner for the trunk too. I'm not too concerned if they don't look that great, as long as they serve their purpose. I would much rather just take the liners out every so often and hose them off, rather than getting dirt and gravel embedded in the carpets and having to constantly vacuum the floors.
I have them and like those. These are the ones in my former 2011 Maxima...

Even if you dont live in a snow/rainy area it worth getting it... it will be no big deal to get dirt or beach sand on floor mats as it is the case with carpet. Just makes more sense to have this in a car vs. carpet.
