Intake manifold issues?

Has anyone here experienced problems with the intake manifold leaking or, better said, sucking in air from the engine compartment?

Mine is throwing a P017..1(?) and p0174 and from some info. I saw last night, both would have be something like the MAF or intake manifold or some piece that 'precursors' both heads.

I have six new plugs and two new intake man. gaskets ready to be installed. Figured I would hit the plugs because the miles and it would also allow me to see if I can find the source of my problem sans taking it to the dealer or someone who can get more exact. I plan on doing the plugs Sunday then taking it for an oil change sometime next week and playing dumb on the CEL light and getting them to look at it pro bono

Dont forget the plenum gasket as well. I would think that cleaning your MAF while you have the plenum and ducting off and replacing the plugs should do wonders...especially the maf as it is hitting both banks. You don't mention milage but if it is under 150k I would be interested if the plugs really needed changing.

Which one is the pleneum? I can do that as well.

Mileage is 132k so I figured I would do them while I am there. Only $60 for the Denso brand recommended on here thanks to eBay.

The plenum sits right on top of the intake manifold and is what you have to remove to get to the rear plugs. Take a look here....http://www.carid.com/2009-nissan-max...-24044103.html for the gasket.

$60 is a great deal for the Densos. Just know that the hoses on the back take a small child's hand to get to so don't get too frustrated. It took me 4 or 5 hours the first time.

My car was at the dealer for one month because the ses light was on. They tried everything to get the light to come off. They tried replacing everything you could think of to have it come off. The light indicated that the car had a leak in it. I had all 6 of my cylinders replaced and then the light came off. 3 days later it came back on and after some more searching it was determined that the intake manifold was leaking and the whole thing had to be replaced. All this happened at 47k. All the work was under warranty. THANK GOD!! The total cost of all the work they did was close to $5k. They replaced many parts and had to put back numerous parts in the process. The only thing i had to pay for was the fuel system cleaning. $139.95 i think. It was quite annoying to not have my car but through out they kept me informed and gave me a loaner. My advisor told me they had to call the Nissan service tech line 4 times. He said my car was the most difficult car of the year (2014) to diagnose. As he put it "our stump of the year". I've driven it about 12k since and all seems to be OK. BTW i have a 2010 Max SV
