Auto Dim

Is there a way to keep the auto dim mirror off. It comes on every time I start the car even though i set the memory position to the key while is was off.

Check your manual.. I do believe one of the buttons on your rear view mirror turns the auto dim off. Dont know which one off hand.

You can either pull the fuse for the [Homelink] mirror or yank the wire out.

On a more serious note, I believe pulling the fuse for it will work but you will lose Homelink functionality if so equipped, or the compass in the mirror.

If you're good with electrical, just unplug the mirror and find the 12v ignition switched wire and either cut it or pull the pin and tape it. This will still keep the homelink functions operational due to it being wired to 12v constant, but you still will lose the compass if it's equipped.
