2009 Max supercharge ?

When was the last time you heard of a notable supercharged FWD car? Supercharging a FWD car to gain low end torque is unnecessary if you can't put the power to the ground, all you're doing is burning up tires for nothing. You gain a small advantage in acceleration, but after you accelerate the weight has already shifted to the rear of the car.

Ehh...that's not 100% accurate. Off the line acceleration won't be incredibly better, but acceleration where it counts (that 35mph up range) will be much better. And tires make a big difference. Through on a set of cheapo's and you won't get anywhere fast, whether you are NA or FI. But with a really good set of tires, you stand a chance.
There are several forced induction FWD vehicles on the road right now (stock). Doubt that the manufacturer would have spent the time developing it if it wouldn't do any good.

Umm it might have been a while but when i had my 97 gtp or 04 impala ss both with the 3800 supercharged fully modded, they both would outrun this max. I know i can hear the responses now, yes youre comparing a fully modded car to a stock max yes i know. Im sure supercharging the max is possible. Heck, the old eatons are a dime a dozen out there now.

I had a 2006 Mazdaspeed 6 previous to my Max and it was an AWD turbo car that would walk the Max. (Note that I had the rare Speed 6, not the 3)
Engine was a 2.4 litre inline four.
The Mazda was amazing in the snow too, but I was sick and tired of shifting the manual transmission and the high cost to maintain the aging car.
BTW, I am a proponent of the CVT. One of the main reasons I bought the Max.
Oh and comfortable seating too.
Hoping maintenance cost will be lower with the Nissan.
