Received $1000 bonus cash in the mail 3 day after signing lease contract

Hi guys. I am new to the forums and I hope you guys can help me out.

I just leased a 2014 Nissan Maxima SV on 11/07. I love the car and all but I just received a $1000 bonus cash rebate today. I contacted the salesman who I bought it from and he said that he'll get back to me. $1000 means $30 less in monthly payments and it really means a lot for me right now.

Was anyone is a similar situation and were able to get it applied?

Thanks

what happened was when there was the rebates from Nissan, the business manager submitted the rebates to be given to you, and not applied to the cap cost reduction. Keep the coin, makes more sense because you're not losing it towards the money factor.

I'm a salesman so I've seen this happen a handful of times.

Or the dealership screwed up and once it goes to accounting, they may tell you you owe that G back to them because the price you're paying reflects that G towards the money down. Look at your buyers contract and lease agreement, see how much money was included in the rebates and any cash you put down and see if it matches up with the total figure.

Don't talk to the salesman, he's hoping his gross is a G bigger. Call and ask to speak to the Sales Manager an if he's not a help, ask for the Business/Finance manager.

Good luck bro.

Keep the $1k and apply it $30 a month towards your payment.
Make interest on the "free" money.
