3year/36k warranty question

I been getting a clunking noise from the back end when going over bumps, think it might be a shock is busted. Just wondering if this is cover under warranty from dealer.

I brought the car new in feb and has 5000k miles on it. wanted to know for sure before taking it to the dealer.

5000k = 5,000,000 miles. How the hell did you put that many miles on the car?

If your warranty is bumper-to-bumper then it's probably covered. But you know who could probably best answer your question as opposed to an internet forum? Your dealer.

5000 miles I meant. is Nissan standard 3year/36k miles warranty bumper to bumper?

That rear noise you hear when going over speed bumps is the rear bushings on your rear sway bar. I had mine replaced twice under warranty. Just 1 month after my 3 year warranty expired, the rear sway bar bushings needed replacement for the third time. I could of gone back to the Nissan dealership and complained about it and had it covered under warranty. I decided not to and I bought a rear sway bar from Racing Line Performance. It was a night and day difference. It made the car more solid and stable on turns and no noise.

so it is cover under warranty? and you might be right about that, does it seems to happen for you more when only one side of the car goes over a bump?

It's hard to say if one side makes more noise because I usually hear it when I go over speed bumps and both my rear wheels touch the speed bump.

According to my dealer, shocks are considered a wear part, and not covered under warranty.
Then I complained, and they replaced it under warranty.
My left rear shock had blown at 45k miles.

Yes, shocks are considered a 'wear' item, such as batteries and tires.

BUT

Most dealers replace such items without question the first 12K miles or so, because no OEM equipment should wear out that quickly. If over 12K miles, then it might become a 'discussion' issue, which may or may not result in full warranty per the dealer. For this particular item, I would push the dealer rather hard, because there is no reason it should give trouble this soon.

thanks, do you happen to know if other suspension parts are considered wear items also or just the shocks.
