Tints/Vinyl Wrapping Chrome

Hey, I have a 14 SV and I'm interested in doing my windows either 15% or 20% and also maybe vinyl wrapping the chrome that borders the windows/chrome door handles... Any pictures would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

15% or 20% is pretty dark I would look into you local laws first about how dark your tints can be. I just got my car tinted Monday with 40% Ceramic Tint and 80% frost blue on the front window (which is illegal, but you can't see it but still helps in reduction of heat transfer into the car).

In Georgia I think the legal limit is 35% but they only had the ceramic in 40% which looks very good IMO, but I do with it was that 5% darker but I like it over all. I will post a picture later today.

Looks great. How difficult was it to wrap the chrome trim and door handles? Did you have to remove them from the car? I like that the tint does not appear super dark.

Ya I'm in NY and the legal % is 70% so anything I put on is pretty much illegal. I appreciate the feedback tho.

First off, I love the look. What color is that? Is that a repaint? Also, what does "5% over 20%" mean? Lastly what did the vinyl wrap cost you? Thanks and it looks great. I would love to wrap mine in gray gloss go match car Name: BC55951C-2F58-450F-BEB2-17FAB913F249_zpsseqtwws1.jpg

Progessive

20% tint all around

Trim around windows - gloss vinyl wrap
doorhandles, grill, emblems - plastic dip
wheels - powdercoat and put snows on them so I can get to the local mountains to snowboard - eibach springs and new wheels come spring.

work in process - bought 1 month ago
still more to do

Thanks guys

Color of my car is OEM color RAB midnight blue metallic.

5% over 20% means I had 20% tint then I put 5% over the top of that. So its super dark.

You can get some 3m vinyl on ebay and apply it with a heat gun or hair dryer. I would recommend taking the pieces off of the car if you have no experience with vinyl so it's easier to work with.

So you took the door handles and the trim pieces off? How difficult was that?

I have the exact same colour. I LOVE your vehicle! I plan on doing the same to mine, but i'm in canada and it's a little harder to get my hands on some of the stuff you get down in the states. Can you please tell me where you got that black vinyl wrap for the windows and door handles? I would appreciate your help!!!
