Put 65k miles on 4 fronts and two rear DWS tires. I think they are fantastic all season tires, and live up to their high performance name.
The MXM4 are great commuter tires, if you don't care at all about handling. Their overall traction doesn't even compare to the DWS. They will go for miles and miles, and you can get a ton of life out of them. My father in law had 78k miles when replaced his.
I have had good luck with Hankook tires in the past, but have no experience with the ones you listed.

Depends mostly on the weather you will encounter. For snow/ice, I'd have no problem recommending the DWS. Had those on my 2002 and found no problems wet/dry or even snow. Cannot wait until I can swap them onto my 2011!

DSW's are by far the best in rain and snow. So if no inclement weather where you live, no worries. Otherwise you get what you pay for and since these are the only things that touch the road get a good quality set regardless of brand. Looks like you have some good brands chosen. GL

Besides the DWS, Tire Rack is now selling another Continental tire, the PureContact with EcoPlus Technology, which is listed as a Grand Touring All Season. (The DWS are High Performance All Season). Anyone know about these tires? Living in snowy MA I'm willing to sacrifice a little if I get better Ice/Snow performance.

Wow, I somehow knew the continentals would get all the attention. I have read a ton of great reviews on them, Just wanted to see what others think. I'm definitely leaning toward them now that I'm seeing more and more people vouching for their quality.

I had Conti's on a FWD Infiniti in Minnesota and they were fine up to about 5 inches.
People forget the human element about driving, some people know how to drive in the snow and some don't

Ain't that the truth. We just got some snow overnight and I watched a Jeep Grand Cherokee all wheel whatever, behind me, loose control and crash!!! Same lane same everything and watched them fishtail out of control and crash into the median. I hope they are ok but goes to show its not always car and what not. Meantime, I was tooling along in my 14 max with crappy RSA's, going slow but getting there in my own car. "The tools are only as good as the craft tams using them."

Just went thru this with tires.. Wore out the GY rsa and thought i would give the HANKOOK a shot... Took them back after a week. Noisy, felt unstable .. so went with a set of michlen pilot.. very good. like them. what ever you decide on make sure they give you a satifaction time on them so you will be able to return them if needed...

Yes I agree tire rack is definitely the best. Found the continentals on Amazon for a few bucks more than tire rack gonna use my Amazon store card to grab a set with the free shipping. Thanks for the input guys I will definitely post my opinion after I run them on the max for a few months. I'm sure they will serve my baby well. My decision is made! Thanks again!

I really can't say enough good about the DWS's. As far as getting into snow - you won't find a better tire.
As far as wet and dry traction - again, won't find anything better. I've been through a couple sets of Bridgestone Potenza's on my previous 2007 Altima 3.5SE. I just had my 3rd set of the DWS's put on my Maxima. Dry traction is just unreal. I'm one of those that tries to test the limit so I know what the limit is and these tires are just unbelieveable with what kind of grip they have. They are quiet, smooth and responsive. I sound like a Continental spokesperson, but really I'm not. They're just great tires.
What really made me a true believer - I would fishtail with the Goodyear RSA junk that came on the car at FIFTEEN MPH. I got a new set of DWS's when they first came out and got caught in an unreal snow in Flagstaff, AZ - like 24 inches of the white stuff. I was passing 4x4 trucks and Subarus ditched. I had no problem at all. It snowed about 6 inches here tonight, so I'm going to go play in the snow tomorrow and will post up. Snow traction is superb.
Oh yeah - it's a 50,000 mile tire and I replaced the last set at 62,000 miles. They still handled well and resisted hydroplaning.
From someone who has wrecked a vehicle due to hydroplaning, rain is kind of terrifying to drive in. I have hydroplaned with these tires 2 or 3 times...maybe. The hydroplaning resistance of these tires is the best thing about them, IMO.

I just got rid of the DWS on my 99, they lasted 30K...religiously rotated and everything...GREAT tires but when I started spinning them too easily I was like "ok next"...I went with the P7s and have had them on my car for almost a week now and they're quieter than the Continentals, sidewall is not super soft like the Continentals, and we've had some good Seattle rain and They've performed just as well, if not better imo than the Continentals. With a 70K treadwear warranty vs 50K on the DWS, I'm impressed.
Like I said though, I LOVED the DWS...can't go wrong with either the P7 or DWS.

Where I live Discount Tire is the best. DT will match the Tire Rack price ( plus shipping) and balance on a HUNTER road force machine for the same price as regular balancing.
They also sell a non pro rated 100 % free replacement warranty for $22 per tire which also includes free rotations for as long as you own the tires.
When I bought mine they also offered a $100 Visa gift card for buying 4 Continental tires.
Labor Day seems to be when the best deals come around

I've had the Michelin Premeir A/S's on my car for 6k miles and it's been a hell of a winter in NJ. These tires have transformed my car from treacherous to confidence inspiring. The traction in the rain is almost as good as it is in the dry.
I've had to drive in the snow quite a bit lately and these tires dig in and go!!! Very impressive!!!
