Electrical Issues with my 2013 Maxima

I have two issues with my 2013 Maxima........

1-Even after replacing the batteries, the car won't always recognize my faub. That is, it won't start and says "no key" when the key, with the new battery is in my pocket. Now, many times, I cannot open (unlock) the door by pushing the unlock button on the door and I can't open the trunk. If I pull out the faub and use the unlock button, is usually will then open.

2-After setting driver 1 and my wife's driver 2 settings, the steering wheel setting slowly drops each time we enter the vehicle. After a time of 7 days or so, the wheel is way down on your knees or thighs and you can't see the top of the displays.

Is anyone else out there seeing these issues?

I would say if you get the same identical results or in this case non results, with both faubs then more than likely the cars computer that recognizes the faub inputs is getting faulty, and you should take it to the dealer if it's still under warranty.

I have seen #1. I called my service advisor, and he asked if I put in cheap batteries (I had). He suggested fresh, name brand batteries and it fixed my issue.

I have the same issue as far as steering wheel dropping gradually. Far be it for Nissan to figure this one out. I learned to live with it. It was discussed in the past.

As far as keyfobs, like others said, get a new brand name battery

You have to disconnect the car battery to relearn the key fob.
