Need some Bass, Keep some Space

I'm looking for a subwoofer(s) that doesn't take up a lot of space in my '12 Maxima Premium. My mom has the '13 Pathfinder and I love how the sub sits on the spare tire. I have also seen a couple posts (pretty old though) where people were able to make custom fiberglass. I am wondering if any has had this done recently and what the costs associated with it are. I have also heard about the Basslink and people seem happy with that but I think the custom fabrication is a nice clean look that makes the subs look OEM. Any info you have would be great! After driving a Frontier for two weeks while I had warranty work done it's painfully obvious that I sorely need some bass in my ride.

I have a JL 13w6 in a fiberglass box where the spake used to be.
Materials for the box were about $120. Took about 6-8 hours to make.
It is overkill though for the amount of bass vs the factory stereo.

That's still a pretty sweet setup. You did all the work yourself? Is that wood paneling? Would love to learn more about how you did it.

Do you have any idea when? Definitely wouldn't mind something like this as it looks sleeker than the Basslink IMO

I was hoping soon.

I am a little torn between

or

The only thing I do not like about the TW3 is the max rating of 400watts. I was thinking about pariring the pseaker with a 500Watt amp. I mean I guess I still could, but will need to turn the gain down as to not blow the speaker. The only advantage as I can see to the TW3 is the excursion. its a little more with the TW3. The W3V3 really has everything I need, but the one thing that bothers me is how long the box and woofer have been around..

Stereo Integrity's BM mkIV has gotten very good reviews. Shallow mount with 14mm xmax.

I made a thread about it: https://maxima.org/forums/7th-genera...ump-trunk.html
There are things that I would change and do differently if I did it again, but it still works well. It is laminate wood flooring from Lowes.
