Tire Pressure

In for servicing at dealership and Nissan tech inflated tires to 35 lbs of pressure on 18 inch stock tires. Seems high to me. Thoughts?

Seems fine to me.
It is a big, heavy car. Needs more pressure to support the car than a civic for example.

Door jam sticker says 33 psi all around. That's what I run at.

My stealership replaced the valve stem sensors, and they put 45 in mine. That was the harshest ride I ever had until I got home and got them back down to 34

Ultimately, it depends on tire brand/model. I run as close to 33psi all around as I can get. Overinflated tend to bald faster in the center, but we are talking around 40psi or so. 35psi sounds good, honestly. I'd feel comfortable with that, even running the 3rd set of tires that I know for a fact will wear in the center faster with higher pressures. 35 is fine. Higher is not.

Also - make certain you have a reliable gauge. I set tires to 33psi 2 weeks ago and got the low pressure tire light because the gauge was reading about 10psi high. Got new gauges, fixed it and all is good. I always use 2 gauge and if they are both agree, then I know that I'm good. If they don't, I go buy another. Tire pressure gauges are cheap.

Travis

I've found that a good digital gauge seems to be more accurate than the old style gauges.
