Brake light and hard acceleration

Noticed this happened a couple times, as I was getting on it I saw that in my rpm gauge my brake light comes on and when I let off gas it goes away. Any ideas?

Check your brake fluid level, it's probably a little low.

Agree with the above. If it's low then you either have a leak (doubtful) or it's time for new brake pads. Adding fluid is the quick fix for the light coming on but more than likely you'll need a brake job.

AND depending on how hard you are on the brakes, check rear ones first. Oddly, with these cars, rears wear out fastest. Replaced rear on my 2010 at around 70,000mi and fronts were replaced at about 130,000mi (even thought they would have lasted another 10,000mi easy). Just FYI...

It's under hard acceleration not braking though. Does that make a difference?

No because both will tilt the brake fluid reservoir just enough to uncover the low warning sensor if the reservoir is low on fluid.
