Hood difference?

Hey guys i was wondering if anyone knew what would be the difference between getting a aluminum hood or a steel hood, I got in fender bender a couple weeks ago although everything else got fixed the hood was out of place because it got bent, now it's not flush with the bumper and it sticks out a bit and so I'm shopping for a new hood but don't know with which I should go with, if anyone could give me some input that would be great! Thanks!

I'd assume the obvious, that the aluminum would be lighter. Perhaps that has an effect on it's 'safety' but I wouldn't know.

Where are you finding or searching for hoods?

Well the price difference would be because of the material. I'm just concerned with where you're finding your hood at. Can you link?

Would the steel even crumple correctly if you are in a head on collision? Or would it decapitate you? Only one way to find out! Get a dash cam with the $100 you save.

Check the dealer ... I remember I ordered a hood for a 97 once from them and it was lower priced than even aftermarket for some reason....
