heat clicks normal???

heat clicks normal???

i get very loud heat clicks after turning off my maxima??? is it normal or should i be concerned they are quite loud i can hear them about 20 feet away

It's normal. Nothing to be concerned with.

I get clicks too,

aluminium does it, SS does it, and steel does it. expansion of material and contraction. Maybe a video would tell us how bad it actually is?

Every car I have ever owned does this, not sure why this question pops up so frequently. It's the cats cooling down, and our car has 3 of them if stock so yeah it makes some noise. Nothing to worry about.

Along with the clicking noise I also hear a loud pop.

I had the pop on my '13 as well... it went away with time. The only thing that remains is the normal cool down ticking and clicking sounds.

Metal expands when it heats up, and contracts when it cools off. That's is why you hear the clicking/popping noises.
