New to forums

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum. I have owned a 2012 Gun metallic maxima sport for a little over a year now and am just now getting ballsy enough to start modifying it to my taste. I did have a couple of questions I would like to ask, I am moving to Atlanta, GA in about a month and was wondering if anyone here knew of a reputable shop in the AL, GA area that could help me with my mods and tuning? Speaking of tuning, bulldog vs uprev? Is it true bulldog is the better choice for mildly modded engines? I am running an injen SRI and plan on doing a cat-back in the future, would the bulldog be a better choice for me? One more, if I was interested in 370z wheels for my max, where would be the best place to look? I don't see spending the money dealerships want for new ones. Any help would be appreciated, can't wait to learn all there is to learn.

Hello and welcome aboard. There are a couple of threads about the questions you are asking about, just search BullyDog or Uprev and start checking out what the guys say about both that have those systems. Look on the Z forums for guys that are selling the stock wheels. One of the best mods is an aftermarket rear swaybar. It makes a huge difference on how the car handles. I am sure some more people will chime in and once again welcome.

Welcome to the forum! If you're looking to add a few horses to your car is suggest putting the stock Airbox back on, getting a new pulley, new racingline it motordyne y-pipe to and then consider a tune. I think most go with uprev but I believe tuners have had issues with the nissan computers keeping the tune. As the nember above said many will chime in and offer their input. Good luck and welcome!

Thank you guys for the welcome. Wheels and suspension were my next choice upgrades as even I am capable of installing most of those mods. The Y pipe and rear sway along with some eibach springs were exactly what I was doing next. Are you saying the factory air box out performs the aftermarket ones? I know CAI would be the route to go but no one manufactures one you can just order, are the SRI's ultimately for looks and sound? Learning already!

The intakes for our cars are merely for sound only, and hurts performance as it sucks in the hot air. Come join us on the Facebook group (7GM), there are at on of members on there as well and a few from Atlanta.

Yep! Sounds mean but ultimately it slows you down as the air temps are fair greater with it. Unless you have a true cold air intake you're just wasting money on a noise maker.
