Non Nav Color Screen --> Nav touch screen
Just the LCD part. NOT the entire thing:

Anyone try it? Is the nav screen a higher resolution?

This is one option i've come across since i'm in the same boat with the color screen and bluetooth but no nav. Considering it but it's a bit expensive, a little over a grand the cheapest i've seen on eBay. http://www.intraphex.com/portfolio/n...interface-kit/
Another option i found that was considerably cheaper was aux bypass, and just use nav though your smart phone(don't have to worry about constantly updating maps), they show out of stock now but 174.99 plus shipping isn't bad

You don't have to buy that kit. I did it by installing a $3 switch and grounding the parking break wire. There are instructions on how to do it floating around the forums somewhere.
I've ordered the cables needed to mirror my iPhone 6 screen to the car's screen. I'll report back when they get here on Saturday.

see post for more info -- I imagine he is doing more or less the same, except iphone 6 only has component out I think -- Maybe he doesn't mean his factory deck? But thats how I did it

Got all the parts and installed it.
Audio works great. Sounds crisp and clear. I've got a 2009, and was having problems getting music to play through the iPod cable, so I'm happy about this part.
Video works. If I set the car screen to "wide screen" the iPhone mirrors to the size of the screen perfectly. Maps show up great and all information is visible. Keep in mind that the car's screen isn't super great. It's got a pretty low pixel count and the contrast on it isn't great. The maps show up a little washed out and pixely. But they are easily legible. All in all, pretty happy with this.
Here is the adapter I bought. Wondering if anyone has tried a different one and can comment on the quality?

You will also need:
Apple lightning to hdmi adapter
Lightning to usb cable (if you want the setup to power your phone)
2 usb cigarette outlet (to send power to the Lightning adapter and to the hdmi adapter)
Hdmi cable
3 connection A/V cable
I'll upload some pics as soon as i get access to another camera to take the pictures (since my phone has to be hooked up and have maps open for the screen to work).

So, I started a new thread with what I did, since it doesn't really fit into the "new touch screen" category anymore.
Here's the link.
