Looking to get some lowering springs. Looking for a 1" to 1.5" drop.
Looking to keep as much of the ride quality as possible. What brand do you recommend?
Also, A friend of mine said that the Maxima is a Pain to install them on in the back. Said you had to remove the back deck and back seats to get to the strut tower.
Can anyone tell me how hard the springs were to install?
Get the eibach pro kit for the maxima. It has the drop you want. If you are just changing springs, and not replacing struts right now, then the rear springs will take you no time at all. They are independent of the shock itself. Fronts are another story. I would suggest making sure you get the right spring compressors that can squeeze that eibach spring enough to get it back on the strut safely. If not, just remove the strut with the oem springs and pay a shop $50 to safely put the pro kit springs on for you.Then, reinstall the strut yourself.
How is the ride on the Eibach springs? Looking for as close to stock as I can get with new springs. My buddy has the tool to compress the springs.
Your saying that the springs and struts are not connected at all in the rear? Does this mean I don't even have to remove the struts to install the springs?
I did BC Coilovers. Doing the back is actually not the hard. You don't have to do anything from inside the car for the rears. Everything is accessible from the wheel well.
Correct, no need to remove the strut to install the springs in the rear.
Just a jack and jack stand needed. Jack up the corner and put it on a jack stand. Then place the jack under the spring cup and add some pressure. Then remove the bolt that attaches it to the knuckle. Use the jack to lower the lower control arm slowly. Replace the spring and use the jack to lift the arm and compress the spring. Put the bolt back in and you are done. The rears can be done in under 30 minutes from start to finish.
Also, the strut no longer attaches inside the cabin. They are very simple to change, as there are two bolts at the top of the wheel well, and the single bolt on the knuckle.

It all depends how new your car is basically. When I installed my Eibachs on my 2013 the car only had 6k miles on it so it made no sense in changing the struts out. If your struts are not blown, do not bother changing them out at this moment. I am now at 28k and my struts are just fine. Just install the springs and you are good to go.
Ive got 61k on the car and 20k on the Eibachs. The front struts are not blown but hardly strong enough to control enough rebound. I wish a decent strut would come out for our cars.

A lack of control of the compression and rebound of the suspension. In my case after the compression the car raises too fast which is a lack of rebound control.
Know what you are getting into. I had the Eibach prokit installed.
However, the rear would not align to spec. Think I need a rear camber kit. google ICHIBA REAR CAMBER TOE BOLT KIT. Also, my suspension creaks and groans, some have complained about this, some not. Also be advised that struts will not last nearly as long, the ride and look is better (little firmer, less body roll) but there are down sides.
I cannot get better than 1.8 degrees of negative camber in the rear and 1.1 in the front out with factory tolerances. Yesterday I ordered SPC front and rear camber adjustment. Will be back to align after I install next week.
