I realize this is an easy fix but that is a rediculos thing to have to deal with. Car has 10K miles on it. After my first wash I noticed the taillights has condensation. I went back to the dealer and EVERY other 2014 had the same thing??? I wrote it off. I just walked past my 2014 Max and seen slight hazing on the tops of the front headlights. That is going to kill me. Anyone else experience this so soon??? This is a California car so other then heat it doesn't see the random weather conditions like elsewhere.

Headlights, taillights, and outside mirrors are supposed to moisture tight so that water intrusion and condensation does not occur. If they are not then have the dealership change them out under warranty. I have a 2009 SV sport and have not had to deal with condensation buildup in the light fixtures of any kind in the four years I have had it.

I was just going to make a post about this!!! I have a 14 with around 12500 miles and just noticed in my front passenger head light and on that side view mirror they both have condensation in them. This really got me going because it's still practically a brand new car I never had any issues like this with my honda

My headlights have never had condensation in them. However, my side mirror and taillights have experienced this issue. The side mirror turn signals have a higher chance of going out, but warranty will replace it. Bring it to their attention next time.
Also, this is a farshot but when I went to go replace my reverse signals to LEDs I noticed that one of the two bolts were loose and not tightened at all. You can possibly tighten it, and I have yet to experience condensation again. Nissan will also tell you that the lights are ventilated to cool the LEDs, thus condensation will occur.

Any of you guys putting uv protection on the lights? I started putting waxes on my lenses when I lived in Texas for a while. Slows down the oxidation some.

Just pisses me off that I spent I decent amount on a car that I've wanted for a while and love and it's getting little things like condensation in the lights ya know? And no I've never even heard of putting that on the headlights

I bit the bullet and had the dealership polish my headlights. I lived in the desert of California for the past 17 months and my headlights were basically white. I had tried those polishing kits in the past with no luck so this time I just spent the money and let them do it for me. They look way better than I could have got them so I'm happy.Originally Posted by Bificus99

I put wax on my lenses when I'm the car to protect the surface. Routine for me. Keeps me from having to use those headlight restore kits.

Yeah man, it sucks. I'm with you. From my understanding, the tail lights are supposedly perforated and a little moisture here and there is considered normal. As for the top of the headlight hazing, just today I used Meguiar's Plastx and it came right off. I followed it up with a Mother's product sealant shortly thereafter.

Do you use a specific wax for this? I'm at Nissan now they are replacing my passenger side mirror (shockingly they had it in stock wonder why) and then in my head light it was just some kid of build up but they got it off so I might start waxing them.Originally Posted by Bificus99

Anything should work just to keep the coating of the lenses protected. I'm a meguires and mothers product fan. Either one should do the trick. Quick detailer or Quick wax.
